Milani Baked Blush!

Milani is an American drugstore brand and I've seen their Baked Blushes raved about on YouTube for some time now but as an American brand it isn't so easy for us British people to get our hands on. I've been craving for these for ages, as from peoples videos they look so nice and I finally managed to find them over on Amazon!

MILANI Baked Blush - Luminoso  seems to be the most popular colour out of the range so this is the one I needed in my life! I was actually a little shocked to see how light the colour was. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I wasn't expecting this! Now the colour is very pretty and would 100% suit very pale skinned people who want to add a light peach colour to their cheeks, but for me I wouldn't wear this colour alone as I don't feel it is deep enough. Now what I would do is use this over the top of a matte blusher as this is very shimmery (another reason I wouldn't wear this alone) and I don't really like a flat colour on my cheeks so it would be ideal to use over the top, with a light hand to add a slight sheen to my cheeks. The colour screams summer and my opinion may change when summer hits.

MILANI Baked Blush - Corallina  Now when I opened this one up it scared the shit out of me! I was like whooooa this is going to be way too bright for me, but it actually isn't! Now you do need a light hand again and it is shimmery like Luminoso but it actually is a gorgeous colour, again I can't stress enough to use a light hand! This is a pinky coral and will look great in the summer. The one down side is that it does have fine glitter particles in it but if you are careful (have I stressed that enough) it won't look too OTT! Unlike Luminoso this would be a colour you would wear alone!

Now my thoughts on the two are quite mixed. I love the gold packaging, which is one of the main reasons why I actually wanted to purchase them in the first place. What I didn't know beforehand that when you lift the blusher lid up you have a mirror underneath and a small blusher brush inside it, which is great! Not that I'd use the brush, but some people will. It just makes them going out friendly, which is a big plus! The pigmentation is great, although Luminoso is lighter than I thought, the pigmentation is still great. They are easy to blend in also. They kind of remind me slightly of Bourjois blushers, with the domed top and the shimmerness.... just created my own word! I'm not completely blown away with them and more than likely if I'd been able to swatch them in my local store I may not have actually gone onto purchase, that's not to say I dislike them, it's just I think I was expecting to be wowed by them, especially Luminoso so it's a little disappointing when you're not.

I picked them both up for £6.19 each, I also picked up another product from the same seller so the shipping came to £5.44 which is very high for 3 products. I didn't realise that they were shipped from America either so I guess that's why the shipping was what it was. I wish they made it clearer. They took 6 days to arrive which I was impressed with also.

Has anyone else tried the Milani Baked Blushers? What's your favourite colour out of them?

Until Next time
