So I have yet another haul and today it's from one of my favourite brands... NYX! So let's just get straight into it!
From left to right: Frosted Flakes, Dust Sparkle, Pacific and Black
First up I bought some single eyeshadows. I already own quite a few of these, 19 to be exact, so why not add another 4 to my collection? I mean I love the pigment and texture of their single eyeshadows and they are super easy to blend in, I also love the packaging, so to me it was a no brainer! If you didn't know NYX have had a sale on for quite a while and 'Frosted Flakes' and 'Pacific' were from the sale range and each cost £3 instead of the usual £5. Sadly though I'm not that keen on either of these. Pacific on line looked purple and yet this is a deep sky blue colour, which my blue days are pretty much in the past. It's a shame cos the pigment is crazy with this! Frosted flakes was also a disappointed, although I reckon I can make this work! 'Dust Sparkle and 'Black' are from the full priced range, £5 and these two I'm happy with. I have a thing about pink right now and 'dust sparkle' will go beautifully with my Naked 3 palette. 'Black' is just a matte black (because I need another matte black eyeshadow) and the pigmentation is crazy and it's super easy to blend in, which is rare with matte shadows! I also picked up the Gel Liner & Smudger which I reviewed HERE so click the link for my review and swatches.
From left to right: Rose Garden and Pinched
Next up I bought two blushers. These are my first ever blushers from NYX. I've heard great things about them and not sure why I haven't bought any in the past. Maybe because I'm always on a eyeshadow bender?! The two shades I picked up were 'Rose Garden' and 'Pinched' and my god are these pigmented! The swatch above was done with a brush, so you are definitely going to need a light hand with these! They both have a subtle shimmer which I like, as it's not too much shimmer but just enough to add a healthy glow to your cheeks. I have my eyes on a few more colours so keep you eyes peeled for them. These cost just £6 for 4g of product so it's a total bargain!
From left to right: Alabama and Candy Land.
Finally I picked up these two lip colours, I actually picked these up from my local Next store in Bluewater which stocks NYX.
Matte Lipstick in Alabama, £6 is a deep red with a purple undertone. I really don''t think the swatch above does it any justice. It's gorgeous and looks even better on the lips, which by the way the reason there are no swatches on my lips is due to the huge spot that's just appeared on my chin that couldn't be cropped out! This is a really smooth matte, it isn't drying and applies beautifully. I will definitely be picking up more of these matte lipsticks in the future.
Xtreme Lip Cream in Candy Land, £7 is a gorgeous candy pink colour. Now I didn't realise this was a liquid lipstick so when I fist tried this on my lips I was a bit like whoooooa what the... then I was like oooh I like this! The colour pigmentation is amazing, it's feels very velvety on my lips and still gives a slight glossy finish, it also lasts quite well too. Definitely like this!
So that's it for my NYX haul. As I said I'm a huge fan of NYX, the price is great, their range is large and
constantly growing and the quality resembles that of a high end quality.
Have you tried NYX before? What is your favourite product out of the range?
Until next time!
