Guest Post | Favourite Summer Lipsticks From The Drugstore!

Summer lipsticks

Summer lipsticks
Hello!
I'm Dagmara from Mummy's Beauty Corner and today I have the pleasure to present my post on Julie's blog. I've been following her blog for a couple of months and thoroughly enjoy it so when she asked recently on Twitter who wants to guest post for her, I jumped at the chance. And here I am with my post:)
Most of us, girls, love a nice lipstick and even though I'm not a massive lipstick hoarder I still have a few (or a bit more) and tend to reach for different shades depending on season. So as we are well into Summer I decided to share with you my 5 favourite drugstore Summer lipsticks.

Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick in Mystify, £1 - please excuse the state of the packaging but this lipstick normally lives in my hand bag and is used nearly every day. This is a lovely peachy coral shade, with a very subtle shimmer, my perfect Summer nude. It applies smoothly, keeps my lips moisturised and lasts around 3 hours. Not bad for a £1 lipstick! If you haven't tried any Makeup Revolution lipsticks you should definitely give them a go!

Barry M Matte Lip Paint, nr 145, £4.49 - you all know Barry M for their nail polishes but who knows their lipsticks? One day I was picking up some Barry M nail polish and decided to try also a lipstick and chose this beautiful fuchsia colour. It says it's a matte finish but in my opinion is more satin which I actually prefer as I like my lips to have a bit of shine. The lipstick applies smoothly, pigmentation is very good and it doesn't dry up lips. It lasts a decent amount of time on me and it does stain the lips so even when is wearing off you are left with a bit of colour. I also like the packaging, it's soft to touch, velvety, the only bad thing is, it gets easily mucky.

L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Luminous Coral, £8,19 - this shade is very similar to the Makeup Revolution one, just more pigmented and touch more coral than peach. I love this shade! I think it suits me well and gives me fresh, summery, polished look even with a very minimal make up. It's my go to lipstick at the moment, normally I apply it while doing my make up and for touch ups during the day I use the Makeup Revolution dupe:) The formula of this lipstick is very nice, applies smoothly leaving satin finish. It has this characteristic lipstick smell that I remember it since being a little girl and playing with my mum's lipsticks:) It lasts long on my lips and feels quite moisturising. Also I adore the packaging, it looks like a high end lipstick.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Mayfair Red Lady, £6.49 - I don't wear red lipstick too often but I love having them in my collection waiting for the perfect moment to use them. Mayfair Red Lady is the perfect, in my opinion, red for Summer as it has orange undertones, it's vibrant and somehow fresh. It leaves a beautiful glossy finish. The pigmentation is amazing, it applies like a dream and it's one of the most moisturising lipsticks I own, it feels so comfortable on the lips, just like a balm. It lasts long on my lips but like with all red lipsticks it's high maintenance, so I keep it for a special nights out when I want to add a bit of glamour to my look :)

L'Oreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick in Rose Symphony, £8.99 - a beautiful peachy pink shade with a subtle shimmer which leaves lips looking fresh and glossy. It's in a lip gloss form but the formula is thicker and not sticky, also it smells slightly fruity. The lipstick has good longevity and keeps my lips moisturised. I absolutely love the shade and the packaging.

So these are my favourite Summer lipsticks! I hope you all enjoyed reading about them.
Let me know if you tried any of them and which one is your favourite.

Thanks a lot, Julie, for having me!
