Discovery Club by The Fragrance Shop

Discovery Club by The Fragrance Shop Summer Edition
Beauty subscription boxes are one of my favourite times of the month, I love trying out new products that I wouldn't have tried before, so when I found out about there was a fragrance version called the Discovery Club by The Fragrance Shop* I was keen to try it out!

Aside from Makeup, most women love new perfumes, but they're not always top of our shopping list as a new bottle of perfume will set us back more than what a new mascara will do, so being able to try out various new fragrances before going out and buying them is something I think a lot of women will love. Luckily The Fragrance Shop have recognised the growing popularity of subscription boxes and brought out their own fragrance version.

Instead of a monthly subscription box, the Discovery Club is quarterly, so for £5 every four months, you will usually receive five samples of fragrance, along with some money off vouchers. Apparently the amount of money off vouchers changes each month, but you're guaranteed to get at least one £5 off voucher in each box, which that alone will pay for your box!

I was sent the current Summer 2014 edition. It comes in a nice sleek black box, which is also great to store makeup or products in at a later stage. The Summer 2014 edition actually comes with seven samples instead of the usual five, which is great and also has £40 worth of money off vouchers, which are all valid until 30th October, so you have plenty of time to use these.

I like that there is a wide range of scents within these samples and also that there are two male aftershaves too, so when it comes to finding a nice new aftershave for your better half or male family member, you have a couple here to help you choose.

For me this box isn't something I would subscribe to. Not because I dislike it, I actually love the concept, but I work within a busy department store, the fragrance department is right next to me, so I can go try out different perfumes every day (and believe me I do, I never wear my own perfume to work) I can also take home any three samples every day if I wanted to, and quite often I'll take home a couple of fragrance samples as they are so good to keep in your bag or purse, so I honestly would have no need for a box like this. BUT I do think this is a great box for anyone who aren't able to get samples for free (which is most people), as this is a great way to try out a new perfume, especially with the dreaded C season approaching (I wont say the actual word) and for just £5 every four months, it's not really going to break the bank and you never know, your new favourite scent could be delivered within this box, so for that I do recommend, sadly it's just not for me.

What do you think? Is this a box you would be interested in? Have you tried the Discovery Club before?

*RR sample. This were sent to me for consideration of a review. My views are, as always 100% my own.
