GUEST POST | Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Lotion

Hi everyone! I'm Michelle from What Shell Says and I'm really excited to be writing a guest post on Just Julie - I've been following Julie's blog since the start and it has been great to watch it grow and become so successful. Today I'm sharing my favourite body lotion with you - Weleda's Pomegranate Regenerating Body Lotion.

If you've been reading my blog then you'll know I'm all about natural skincare at the moment. Since I attended a class on the subject I'm always reading the ingredients labels on beauty products before I buy them (the shop assistants in Boots must think I'm mad!) but it's something that's important to me now I'm aware of what can be added to products. Weleda are a company that makes sure all their products are made from ethically sourced natural and (where possible) organic ingredients and it has been making natural cosmetic products since 1921...so they're pretty much experts!

Weleda body lotions contain pure plant oils derived from sun ripened seeds and fruits which are full of active ingredients (basically lots of goodies for your skin!) The oils are absorbed into the skin easily as they are rich in essential fatty acids.

This particular body lotion contains three key ingredients - organic pomegranate seed oil, apricot kernel oil and shea butter - which stimulate cell renewal and are rich in antioxidants to protect against damage from harmful free radicals. Pomegranate also prevents premature ageing of the skin (something which I'm interested in due to the fact that I turned 30 a couple of weeks ago.....eeek!)

This is without a doubt my new favourite body lotion...it's amazing! If the gorgeous smell doesn't tempt you then I don't know what will - it kind of reminds me of a subtle marzipan smell with a hint of fruitiness (it's hard to describe but, trust me, it smells divine). The pump on the bottle has been cleverly designed to make sure not too much comes out so there's no waste, and the 200ml bottle is a handy size for using at home or popping in your case when off on holiday. The lotion has a nice thick and creamy texture which feels lovely when applied as it turns to a more silky/watery texture. It rubs in really well and is absorbed fairly quickly without leaving a greasy or sticky residue. My skin still feels well moisturised hours after application.

At £21.95 this body lotion isn't the cheapest, but I love it and I think it's worth every penny if you fancy treating yourself. The quality of the lotion is proven in the ingredients list and I know my skin will love the fact I'm using something natural and full of goodness.

I'm constantly on the lookout for more natural skincare products so if you fancy joining me on my quest feel free to pop over to my blog What Shell Says  or my Twitter  just HERE and say hello!

The Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Lotion is currently on offer for £19.10 for a limited time
