Bourjois recently launched some new quad eyeshadow palettes, as soon as I saw them in Boots the design reminded me of the DIOR 5 COULEURS Eyeshadow Palette, which of course will set you back over £40 each, whereas the new Bourjois Quad Smoky Stories Eyeshadow Palette cost just £7.99 each...
There are eight palettes in total all designed to help you create a smoky eye with ease. The colour range is very impressive ranging from the classic smoky grey colours, gorgeous plum colours, forest greens all the way up to soft nude colours. I like that Bourjois have made it clear that not everyone likes to have a classic smoky eye using greys, so whatever your mood and taste is, there is a palette for everyone.
The packaging comes with a clear lid, I'll be honest I'm not that keen on the clear see through lid but it does make choosing what colour you want to wear easy, I just feel they could have done much more with the lid to make them stand out even more as the layout of the eyeshadows look so premium, however the lid just let's it down.
The quality of these eyeshadows are amazing. To say they're easy to blend in would be an understatement, they are honestly such a dream to work with, which I think is a huge selling point, especially considering the price point! These claim to last for 12 hours without creasing and they honestly do stay in place all day, this is aided by the lightest shade in all of the palettes which has an integrated base primer which helps to intensify the colour, but also to prevent the shadows from creasing. Each palette also comes with a glitter in the middle which allows you to to take your eyeshadow look from day time to night time in an instant, whether you dab the glitter all over the lid or apply it just in the inner eye, it's a really nice touch to the palette, and the glitter isn't too chunky either which is a huge plus for me.
Is a gorgeous neutral brown palette, ideal for anyone who likes to wear just a wash of colour or for those who like to create a more subtle smoky eye. All of the shades have a satin finish, so like I said before they're easy to work with. I can see this being the most popular palette out of them all as pretty much anyone can wear neutral brown shades.
Is a stunning mauve palette with lavender and plum undertones. I just love these kind of shades, they really make my eye colour pop and I tend to wear colours like these when I want to create a look with some colour. Texture wise these have a satin finish too. I love the glitter in this, it has a lilac undertone that really compliments the colour.
Please ignore my brows, they really need plucking, but do you think I can find a pair of tweezers anywhere??!
Overall I'm so impressed with the Bourjois Quad Smoky Stories Eyeshadow Palettes. The quality is amazing and the price is on point too. I plan to pick up all of the shades, bar the green palette, as greens don't tend to suit me. If you're looking for a high quality eyeshadow palette at a low price that's longwearing and easy to use then I really recommend picking a few of these up!.
You can purchase the Bourjois Quad Smoky Stories Eyeshadow Palette from BOOTS for just £7.99 each, or why not pick up three whilst they are on 3 for 2?! That's what I'll be doing!
