I was so excited when this package arrived. As soon as I looked at the Makeup Revolution One Blush Sticks* I knew these were a dupe for the NARS Multiples, a product I've wanted to try for ages now, but the price has really put me off (£30) so a dupe that costs just £5 was more up my street!
The packaging is very sleek and quite premium looking too. The finishes are easily distinguished between the glossy packaging for the shimmer shades and matte packaging for the matte shades. My only issue with the packaging, and I've seen it mentioned on other blogs also, is that the shades aren't written on the packaging, so I have to keep opening up each of them to find the shade I want.
There are eight Makeup Revolution One Blush Sticks in total, four
shimmers and four mattes colours with colours ranging from a neutral
highlighter, a soft pink, a deep coral all the way up to a dark matte
brown, there is a shade and finish for everyone. What is also good
is that these double up as lipstick too, with the shimmer shades
lasting on my lips for 4+ hours and the mates lasting for 7+ hours,
which is quite impressive.
The formula of these are amazing, they're just so creamy and really easy to work with. The pigmentation is crazy (see swatches below) which I'll be honest scared me at first, I wasn't sure how easy they would be to blend in, but due to how creamy in texture they feel, they blend in really easily, even the matte shades. Like with the longevity with them used as a lipstick, they last a long time on your skin, and this is coming from someone with oily skin too! Once they're on they won't be sliding off until you have cleansed your skin!
The shimmer shades have been my favourite out of them all.
'Dream' is a beautiful highlighter which works amazing on top of my cheek bones. I love this!
'Pink' has been my go to blush over the past three weeks and has really helped add a bit of colour into my cheeks.
'Rush' is beautiful too, probably a little to sheer for me, but would work beautifully on anyone who has a paler complexion.
'Malibu' I'll be honest, this is the one shade that I personally wouldn't use as this is a little too shimmery for me.
I mean seriously, just look at the pigmentation and how creamy the matte shades look!
'Matte Dream' is a beautiful nude pink. Personally this doesn't work as a blusher for me, but it does work as a great nude lipstick!
'Matte Pink' is a gorgeous coral pink shade. Using this as a blusher I do recommend going in with such a light hand. Again it's another one that looks amazing as a lipstick!
'Matte Rush' a seriously deep orange shade. This is going to be a gorgeous shade for both the lips and cheeks come Spring/Summer time.
'Matte Malibu' Looks scary right? Again light hands are needed with this. I've actually been using creams to contour with and this is the perfect shade to use!
Over all I think the One Blush Sticks are amazing. I still can't get over how creamy they feel. As someone who tends to always have a matte finish to my makeup, I had never explored cream products too much as I was worried they would take my makeup off, but what I've been doing is using my blusher brush to dab it onto the stick and then just stipple it on to my cheeks. I've found that by doing it this way it doesn't interfere with my makeup and it also means that you can apply the colour quite lightly and build it up if need be.

For £5 each you really can't go wrong. I now need to go swatch the NARS multiples in store to see how their textures compare!
Have you tried these yet? What is your favourite shade?
