The Christmas Tag!

The Christmas Tag
Now you'll very rarely see a tag post here on JustJulie, to be honest they aren't my favourite to write but I was tagged by Beautylymin in the Christmas tag and seeing as I'm feeling rather festive right now I thought I'd join in!

1. What is your favourite Christmas movie/movies?
I have two, The Santa Clause with Tim Allen in. I watch it every year, in fact I watch all three every year, although the original will always be my favourite out of the three. My second is National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, which is quite an old film. It's hilarious as everything just goes wrong! I love the theme tune to the film too.
2. Favourite Christmas Song/songs?
Oh I love Christmas songs, I wish I could listen to them year round! Right I have two, my first is the original Band Aid, Do They Know It's Christmas... I know this might be controversial to some but I just love the song, the music, the singers, everything! I know some people are like oh but the lyrics bla bla bla, well I understand the meaning behind every lyric, where as most people don't! Second is Slade, Merry Christmas Everybody! This is such a classic and guarenteed to get everyone up, dancing and singing! It's just a typical Christmas song! Why oh Why don't they make Christmas songs like they used to? In fact I love so many but these two are my favourite! And yes, I'm posting them for you to listen to now!
3. Do you open your presents on Christmas eve or Christmas morning?
Christmas Day? Who opens them the night before? Mind you I have opened presents on Christmas Eve but they are Christmas Eve presents! You know, like pre Christmas presents! It does make sense I swear!
4. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
I don't really have anything that stands out. Although when I was young (like 3-6) we always used to go and pile in my mum and dads room while they went down stairs to made sure everything was ok and ready, they'd also make us all a cup of tea ready and then we could come down stairs have and drink our tea whilst opening our presents in our designated corner!

5. Favourite festive food?
For me it's all the sweets and savoury snacks that I eat all day long! I know it's Christmas time when the tins of roses, pringles, peanuts ect all come out on Christmas Eve! Oh sausage rolls... bloody love them and literally tuck into them straight away! I can't forget the cheese board too! Yeah so not necessarily festive food, but it's the crap that you can sit and eat all day, that doesn't fill you up but tastes so good!
6. Favourite Christmas scent?
Does the smell of the roast dinner count? Is it just me that thinks the Christmas roast smells different to roasts that you have all year round?!
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Nope! My Christmas Eves since I was 14, bar three have always been going out and drinking and dancing the night away!
8. What tops your tree?
An angel that I made in nursery when I was 4 years old! No lie, it's always gone on the top! having said that I think it will be something different this year as it's nearly 30 years old and kind of had it's day!
9. As a kid what was the one extravagant gift you asked for but never got?
I wouldn't say it's extravagant by todays standards but back nearly 30 years ago it was... it was my dream dressing table! Oh it was beautiful, it was pink and white, it had a gorgeous mirror and a place to put your plastic toy hairdryer and everything! It was like a princess dressing table! I loved it! See even when I was 5 years old I was all about beauty!
10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
The music, films, cosiness, presents, food, drink, no work and just general happiness that surrounds Christmas!

I know quite a few people have already done this tag so I wont tag anyone, instead if you'd like to do the tag then go for it and make sure you tag me on twitter so I can come read your answers.

I have to quickly add that Christmas is not Christmas without watching an Only Fools and Horses Christmas special! No matter how old they are, they will never get boring and Christmas Day just hasn't been the same since they stopped doing them! While I'm at it, Christmas TV is shit in comparison to back when I was a kid! Anyone else agree??

Until Next Time
