Networking is key for bloggers, not only does it help get your blog seen by different people, it's also a great way to get to know fellow bloggers. One of the best ways to network is via Facebook groups, however the majority of groups are spam type groups, you know, the ones where people just link dump and there is no engagement. I've wanted to create a beauty blogging group for awhile and yesterday I did just that!

It seems like everyone is jumping on the contour kit bandwagon, however drugstore brands have been a little late with this one, yes there's a few contour kits out there but none of them seem to contain the right mix of highlighter/under eye setting powder that the highend brands seem to have got nailed. Upon having a browse in my local Boots I noticed the Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit staring right at me, it had been out of stock on previous visits so I snatched this one up before anyone else noticed it.

For any beauty blogger out there the introduction of a new blog awards ceremony is quite exciting. The Olympia Beauty show are hosting not only a trade event, with an exhibition and conference they're also hosting their first ever beauty blog awards! For the past few months people have been able to nominate who they think is worthy of a number of awards and today the finalists have been announce and I have some very exciting news to tell you all.

Makeup Revolution have made quite a name for themselves since they launched just over a year ago. Not only are they known for their great quality products at a low price, they've also gained quite a reputation for launching products that are dupes for highend brands, and today I'm bringing you yet another one.

When Urban Decay launched the Naked palette so many brands jumped on the bandwagon and released their version of a naked palette, however theBalm NUDE 'tude Eyeshadow Palette to me has enough distinctive differences to stand out on it's own.

I have an ever growing drawer full of Makeup Revolution palettes and a couple of them are my go to palettes on a daily basis, so when the new Makeup Revolution Mermaids Forever Eyeshadow Palette* popped through my letter box I thought it was fate, I mean it's called Mermaids and with my new pink hair do, I feel all mermaid like, so yeah this palette must have been meant for me!

If you wasn't already aware there's a new cosmetics brand on the market, Kiss Cosmetics their ethos is to bring excellent quality cruelty free products whilst remaining affordable to the ever growing cosmetics industry. They have already launched a few products and I have been given the chance to try out their new Beyond Limitations Mascara* prior to it's launch.

Recently I purchased quite a few new products from Makeup Revolution I'd seen they had released some new lipsticks so couldn't resist picking up one or six of them!

Sometimes you really don't need to spend a fortune when to comes to eyeshadows, so to continue on with my All About Eyes Series I'm going to share my favourite drugstore neutral eyeshadow palettes.

Having been a blonde for around 17 years I recently took the plunge and went for a big change... it didn't quite turn out how I'd envisioned it or expected it to at all.. yeah I ended up bright pink!!!  

I was in my local Superdrug last week and spotted a Makeup Revolution stand. I've been waiting for one of the two Superdrug stores near me to start to stock the brand so I was very excited when I see they finally had! Having already been sent and reviewed the Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 1 Palette I had to pick up the second palette, Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 2 Palette and see if it was as good as the first palette.

You know how the beauty industry went all bold brows crazy, then Kylie Jenner lip crazy, well everything has been contour crazy lately and I'm not going to lie, I've jumped straight on to the bandwagon! The Smashbox Step by Step Contour Kit that I featured in my April Beauty Favourites was the first contour palette that I purchased, so it seems only fitting to feature this in the first instalment of the Contour Edit.

Well hello there, it's been some time since I've put finger to laptop (doesn't quite have the same ring to it as pen to paper does it?!) well without going into detail something extremely major happened and I needed to take myself away from things, including my blog, but I'm starting to feel brighter so I'm back! Not only am I back with a review, I'm back with a giveaway, kind of a little sorry I've been gone but I'm back now so don't hate on me for disappearing giveaway!

Makeup Revolution have recently launched their new Pro Fix Oil Control Makeup Fixing Spray*  and as someone who suffers with oily skin,  I jumped at the chance to try it out. 

How on earth is it already March? Please, someone tell me because this year is just flying by! Anyway, I didn't realise that I missed January favourites until the middle of January and by then I felt it was too late, so here we are, with my first favourites of the year! If I'm being honest I own too many brushes, but I do like to use good tools when I'm applying my makeup, and I'm too lazy to wash them every week, so I think you can't have too many brushes! Well it would appear I've  been living underneath a rock for months.
